Agios Ioannis beach is the closest beach to Lefkada Town separated only by a couple of kilometres. The long beach stretches for many metres and it is surrounded by golden sand and blue green waters.The area boasts an exotic landscape which attracts thousands of visitors. It is well-organized with sunbeds and umbrellas facing the wonderful sea. Agios Ioannis is home to some old windmills that create a charming atmosphere. The beach here is usually windy thus the ideal destination for windsurfing after Vassiliki. It attracts many skilled windsurfers. Some cafes and water sports centers board the beach of Agios Ioannis. At the left side of the beach you will find the Church of Agios Ioannis Antzousis.

Nikiana is located 10 km away from Lefkada Town. It is a small sandy beach, with attractive characteristics. Nikiana consists of sand and pebbles, crystalline waters and an enchanting landscape that attracts many visitors. Tourist facilities are not available in this quiet and unspoilt environment. However, nature provides some beautiful shaded spots for the visitors. It is quite popular among families. This beach is very close to the main coastal road and right next to it is the picturesque harbour filled with lovely fishing boats and private yachts. The relaxing and peaceful surrounding makes the beach one of the best in Lefkada. It is easily accessed from the Town and other villages of Lefkada.

Agios Nikitas is a small fishing village located 13 km southwest of Lefkada Town and very close to Kathisma beach. The picturesque beach that lies in front of the settlement consists of sand and brilliant crystal clear waters. It is really small but equally beautiful to the other beaches of the island as it uniquely combines a refreshing swim and a delicious meal in one of the best fish taverns nearby. It is quite popular among tourists for the great facilities and the relaxing atmosphere.

Vassiliki is a picturesque fishing village located 37 km southwest of Lefkada Town. It lies around the beautiful bay, a long pebbled beach famous for its perfect windsurfing and sailing conditions. Water sports facilities and windsurfing clubs renting material are available on the beach. In the surrounding area one will find a wide range of accommodations, camping sites, taverns, shops, cafes and modern bars. The beach also has some hotels that offer facilities for windsurfers and their material.

Nidri is the most popular resort of Lefkada, attracting thousands of visitors every summer. It is located 17 km south of Lefkada Town and only some steps away from the main beach of the settlement. Nidri beach is famous for it unique characteristics, the white sand and clean waters. A long tuft of palm trees cover the beach creating a charming atmosphere for both adults and children. The settlement is well-developed with cafes, bars and plenty of restaurants. Nidri combines a warm and family environment, a picturesque landscape, crystalline waters and comfortable facilities. From the beach one can enjoy a nice view over the islets of Heloni, Sparti, Scorpidi, Madouri and the famous Scorpios, the island of Aristotelis Onasis/

The road from Chora to the beautiful beach of Amousa is long but pleasant. The distance of 40 km will become a delightful journey amidst green surroundings and sea views. The last km of the drive is track road. After a 30 minute drive you will finally reach a small bay bordered with rocks. There, you will see the clearest waters and enjoy a refreshing swim. Sunbathing can be a little uncomfortable on the large smooth white pebbles but the natural beauty and charming atmosphere are enough to make you relax. This superb beach is popular with families.
